AI agents (MCP) / Connect your assistant

Connect your assistant#

You need:

  • a Gamearly account that is a member of the project;
  • AI agent access not turned off for the project. It is on by default; if an administrator turned it off, they can turn it back on in the project's settings or on the connection screen.

Your MCP URL is https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp. Each client then opens a Gamearly page where you pick what the assistant may do and on which projects.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Gamearly and paste https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp.
  3. Click Connect and sign in to Gamearly.

A connector added on claude.ai also works in the desktop and mobile apps.

claude mcp add --transport http gamearly https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp

Then type /mcp, choose gamearly and Authenticate. Claude Code can also upload game builds and images straight from your computer.

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on developer mode.
  2. Create a connector with the URL https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp and authentication OAuth.
  3. Sign in to Gamearly when asked.

In ~/.gemini/settings.json:

{"mcpServers": {"gamearly": {"httpUrl": "https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp"}}}

Start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth gamearly.

Use Add to Cursor / Add to VS Code in Gamearly → Settings → AI assistants, or add this to mcp.json:

{"mcpServers": {"gamearly": {"url": "https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp"}}}

The editor opens the Gamearly sign-in in your browser.

The connection screen#

When you sign in, Gamearly shows:

  • the assistant and where it will send you back. Check the host: only allow assistants you started yourself;
  • permissions:
Permission Lets the assistant
See projects (always on) see your projects, their settings, content and subscription status
Edit projects create and edit your projects: pages, settings and media, and import them from Steam or IGDB
Community content create and moderate quests, votes, contests, articles, forum threads and comments
Rewards create and manage rewards and game keys
Builds & playtests upload and manage builds, build access and playtests
Publish ⚠ publish builds, submit projects for review, start playtests, sell on the store
Analytics see your analytics: audience, engagement, in-game events, playtests, sales and player feedback
Segments & lists create segments and player lists, label events, save funnels and charts
Message players ⚠ send messages to your players

Every permission is ticked by default: untick what this assistant shouldn't do. ⚠ marks the ones that reach players or money; the assistant still asks you before each such action.

  • projects: all your projects (including future ones), or only some;
  • expiry: never, or after 7 to 365 days.

Agent keys#

For tools that cannot sign in with OAuth (scripts, CI, some CLIs), go to Settings → AI assistants → Create agent key. You get the same choice of permissions, projects and expiry. The key (gam_pat_…) is shown once. Send it as a header:

Authorization: Bearer gam_pat_…
claude mcp add --transport http gamearly https://mcp.phoenixblock3.io/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer gam_pat_…"

Treat it like a password. Revoke it from the same page if it leaks.

Disconnect#

Settings → AI assistants → Disconnect ends a connection immediately. Changing your password disconnects every assistant.
